Ashley’s Studio Maternity Session – Macomb County Motherhood Photographer

After reaching out to me through YELP, Ashley and I met at a local coffee shop to discuss a possible maternity session.

We hit it off pretty well, she was very excited after we started talking about some details. Ashley’s initial vision for her session was playing with contrast using black and white. I love black and white photos so of course I was just as excited as she was! We set up a session date for the first week of January.

We talked about studio set ups as well as an outdoor set while it snowed. (If you’re not familiar with Michigan weather, it is very unpredictable, so unfortunately we weren’t able to get outside when her session date came. Maybe next time! 😉 )

Her and her husband Kevin had been together for several years until they decided they wanted to have a baby, of course, they wanted to document this incredible time in their lives! Baby is duein March!

When they walked into the studio for Ashley’s session, she told me she changed her mind a bit on how she wanted to photos to look.
“Sexy. I want my child to look at these photos when they grow older and think ‘daaaang my mom looked GOOD!'” I mean.. <3 She did NOT make it difficult.

She definitely did not disappoint. Can you say “gorgeous!”?
