Babywearing Session – Yates – Rochester Hills
Have any of you been to Yates Cider Mill in Rochester Hills? Oh my goodness is it gorgeous! I had a babywearing session a few weeks ago with Haylie and little six month old Ethan! They were a blast to hang out with when we weren’t concentrating on not falling in the river! haha 😛
Capturing the beauty and the amazing connection between mom and baby while babywearing was the goal of this session, and I think we did it! “I loved that we were capturing such a special time in the lives of me and my son. I would have never thought to do a babywearing shoot, but I’m so glad I did!” -Haylie.
Ethan was so cozy and happy next to mom in their Moby Wrap, right up until the end of the session of course he got tired! He did amazing though!!
When I asked Haylie what she liked best about babywearing this is what she had to say, “I love being close to my little guy, and I love knowing that he loves it too. It a wonderful feeling when he gets tired while I’m wearing him and just puts his head on my chest & closes his eyes.”
She told me both her and her husband like wearing Ethan, who doesn’t like a babywearing dad?! They babywear on walks and when they check out fun places like the DIA and the Michigan Science Center!

I also asked Haylie why she babywears, “It’s wonderful for bonding. He can hear my heartbeat, and feel my breathing. He feels secure and I feel happy knowing that I’m meeting his needs. I also love that it allows me to have him close, but still have the use of both my arms!”
I loved hanging out with Haylie and Ethan!
